2hearts.gif (944 bytes)ENGAGEMENT SUGGESTIONS
If you will be vacationing in the islands with your soul mate and would like to "pop the question" you can do it in a way that he or she will never forget. Your options are limitless! Most activity providers are more than happy to work with you to create a memorable marriage proposal, all you have to do is ask. Below are some suggestions of how you can make your proposal in Hawaii extra special:

Arrange with a helicopter company to have a banner saying "Will you marry me?" placed in a remote part of the island and take your sweetie on a helicopter tour of the island and fly over it.
Pre-arranged with a luau to select your significant other to go on stage and participate in an activity. Then you can come on stage and proposed to them in front of everyone!
Do you and your loved one SCUBA dive or snorkel? You can use an underwater write board and marker to make your proposal under water.
Many hotels put out a daily guest newsletter of hotel and island activities. Have the hotel put your proposal in their newsletter.
The Oceanarium Restaurant at the Pacific Beach Hotel in Waikiki has a three story wall aquarium filled with sea creatures. They have a diver that goes into the aquarium to feed the fish several times a day. You can request a tank side table and a fish tank sign with your proposal. The diver will place a sign with your proposal in the tank by your table.
Call 922-1233 for reservations.
If you are both adventurers try sky diving while in Hawaii. After you have both landed from your jump get on one knee and take a leap of love by proposing!
Pack a picnic lunch and drive until you find a deserted beach. Set up your picnic and while your enjoying your private paradise pop the question.
Take a tandem parasail ride and while you are both enjoying your birds eye view propose!

FREE WEDDING VOW RENEWAL SERVICES
~ FOR COUPLES ALREADY LEGALLY MARRIED
The Sheraton Moana Surfrider, which is the first hotel built in Waikiki, offers a weekly “Promise Me Again” free group wedding vow renewal ceremony open to hotel guests and the general public. Each spouse receives a fresh flower lei, complements of the hotel, which they present lovingly to one another in emulation of an exchange of wedding bands while the Hawaii Loa Trio performs The Hawaiian Wedding Song. After reciting vows to one another the couples dance a special dance. At the end of the ceremony each couple is given a complementary keepsake certificate of their vow renewal. The ceremony takes place at 7:30pm each Wednesday evening in the Sheraton Moana Surfrider Banyan Courtyard. Reservations are required by calling 808 922-3111. Validated parking is available across the street at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani with the minimum purchase of one drink.

For guests at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach or Outrigger Waikiki Hotel, both in Waikiki, you can take advantage of their wedding vow renewal service which is offered free to their guests at the two hotels. The non-denominational ceremony is very romantic and takes place on the beach at 8am. The ceremony is performed by a Hawaiian priest in the Hawaiian language and includes a water sprinkling blessing of the couple as well as a vow exchange.
